I’m so glad we purchased our home when we did, if we had waited until now we may not have been able to do it.

(Hilton Head Island)

I’m going off on a little mini-vacation too!  I head off to Martha’s Vineyard for 3 days, it’s not nearly long enough but I’ll take what I can get.  It’ll be nice to get away from everything for a couple days.  I was browsing cottage rentals for next year to take a whole week and the prices are outrageous for my budget.  I checked out Hilton Head rentals in South Carolina and found the fees to be similar but the houses were gorgeous!  Too bad it’s a much farther drive than Cape Cod, it’s a beautiful place.

They’ll be away for 9 days. I won’t have to worry about cleaning up after the kids, pick up their toys, what to make for dinner and I’ll definitely have a lighter laundry load.  They’re lucky they have grandparents who take them away places, if it wasn’t for them, their vacations would be few and far between.

I’m struggling to lose some weight and checked out a list of best diet pills but thought the absolute best way to lose weight is to eat less and move more. It sounds simple enough but I’m still having a hard time. I am pleased to announce that I have lost 5 lbs in the last 2 weeks. It’s a start!

]]> http://sosunaolata.com/2008/07/16/ongoing-weight-loss-battle/feed/ A Day At The Beach http://sosunaolata.com/2008/07/12/a-day-at-the-beach/ http://sosunaolata.com/2008/07/12/a-day-at-the-beach/#comments Sat, 12 Jul 2008 12:17:26 +0000 http://sosunaolata.com/?p=577 I took the day off from work yesterday to bring the kids to the beach, all week I was hoping for good weather and I got it.  It ended up being a perfect day for the beach.  The plan was for both kids to have a friend come along but Adam’s little friend had gotten sick a few times in the middle of the night so he had to cancel.  We still had a great time.  We were one of the first families to arrive so we had our choice of spots, we left at 2:00 and there wasn’t a spot left to be had.  Everyone was exhausted, I had 3 sleepy-heads driving home, five and a half hours at the beach takes a lot out of you.  Came home and rested up to hit the fireworks later at night.
