I go for my surgery consult today. I’m only a little nervous I’ll get lost finding the place. It has been a long 3 weeks waiting for this appointment to arrive. I can’t wait to get the surgery done and over with. Maybe I can get a little nip and tuck after the tumor (I have a benign tumor in my neck) is removed, then I won’t have to try a fat burner to get rid of my double chin, I’ll just need it for the rest of me! LOL

I just love the way the boys’ costumes turned out so I had to post one of my favorite pictures of them. My new camera is awesome when taking indoor shots in a dark room. For this picture, I had it set on a low shutter speed and had it on the black and white option. Problem is, I take so many pictures now I need another compact flash card so I don’t have to constantly upload to my computer.

A week ago we spent the day at Jonathan’s Dream with a friend, my sister-in-law and all the kids. The playground was built “without boundaries” with many handicap accessible areas so everyone can have fun. We had a picnic lunch and had fun with friends.

This weekend I’m going to attempt to finish cleaning out the basement once and for all! I’m bringing plenty of moving boxes home so I can organize everything I’m keeping. It is so out of control! I have a habit of keeping so many things I don’t need and am probably never going to use. My thinking is always “maybe one day….” but I don’t think the day will ever come because I still have (unopened) boxes down there from when we moved into the house 6 years ago.

I’m thinking of getting dressed up for Halloween this year but don’t have a clue as to what to be. I won’t be going out with friends or anything, like I did a couple years ago as Cruella DeVil and had a lot of fun with it. I’ll be just strolling around the neighborhood with my family,in-laws and nieces and nephews. My husband said he’s just going to throw on his baseball cap and call himself a fan. Maybe I’ll dress up like a mom.

Friday night we attended the Cub Scout Halloween party. The kids had a great time wearing their bloody costumes. They each even won a prize. For years I’ve wanted them to dress as a “couple”. I had to sacrifice a perfectly fine white t-shirt for the bloody patient but there’s nothing better than a home-made costume.
Check out some of the other costumes on my friend Maggie’s blog.

I’m already stressing out about the weekend.
Tonight is the boy scout’s Halloween party so I need to rush around after work and hope that I have enough time to help the kids with their costumes before the party begins at 6:00.
Tomorrow is two soccer games and a birthday party, all running around the same time. How I’m going to be in 3 places at once is beyond me.
My house is a disaster thanks to us being out all last weekend and then every night during the week there was something we had to be doing. I was supposed to do groceries on Monday after Six Flags but we were too wiped out after the busy weekend. So, there isn’t any food in the house and I don’t know when I’m going to get a chance to go.
To top all that, I was just informed that my mother-in-law from Maine is arriving tonight. I hope she doesn’t think she’s coming over for a visit before Sunday or she’ll get a shocker on how we really live in the house, lol.

I finally saved enough cash to buy a Nintendo Wii. The only problem is it’s for Christmas so I need to keep it in the box until then. I’ve played over friends houses so I know how much fun it can be. I decided to store it over a friend’s house so I wouldn’t be tempted to play late at night. All I’d need is one of the kids to get up in the middle of the night and catch me! Now I just need to get all the accessories which will probably cost as much as the system but we all need a controller and most definitely need Guitar Hero. I can’t wait until Santa comes this year!

One great thing about my job is they give us Columbus Day off. I don’t have to worry about where my kids are going because I can stay home with them. The weather is great, it’s such a beautiful day already. I’d love to be on the Outer Banks of North Carolina right now but sadly, I’m not. I do think we’re going to make our last trip of the season to Six Flag though to experience Fright Fest.
