Thank goodness it’s Friday! What a week I’ve had at work, I’m so glad it’s over. I never work overtime so this week was a first for me. This morning I arrived as the door was being unlocked and at the end of the day I was one of the last out the door. It’s a funny thing, this is the most appreciated I’ve ever felt at my job so all is good!

One of my favorite Spring vacations was visiting relatives in Atlanta. I have not been down south since my grandparents passed away a few years ago. I have been wanting to visit again soon as I have cousins and aunts and uncles still living there. My children have never been to meet any of them. I’d like to look into Trusted Tours & Attractions, they offer a Stone Mountain Park Adventure Pass, which I loved to go to as a kid, they hold awesome laser light shows with the mountain as the backdrop. I’d get so excited to go watch the show with my family, we’d grab some blankets and pack a picnic, set-up a spot and watch the show. Also at Stone Mountain is the Paddlewheel Riverboat Cruise in Stone Mountain Lake and the Summit Skyride that will take you to the top of the mountain.
At trustedtours.com they have lots of sight seeing packages for 23 cities across America like NYC, Las Vegas, Boston or even the Miami Seaquarium
Right now, Trusted Tours & Attractions is holding special promotion where one lucky person will have the chance to win a handheld GPS system just by signing up for their newsletter.

As I type this, my kids are on a train with my parents for their trip to the Big Apple. I’m jealous, they’re going to have perfect weather for sight-seeing in the city. I wish I could’ve gone along but work had to come first this time. What a bummer!
I took my daughter a couple years ago but my son has never been. I wish I was there to see his face as he sees the sights for the first time. It’s so different than what he’s accustomed to. I’m sure they’ll have lots of stories and hopefully lots of photos to share with me.

I’m at the age now when I should be concerned about signs of aging. I don’t have any crows feet or laugh lines just yet but I should start using a cream to prevent wrinkles. I’ve been told I have nice skin and would love to keep it that way. A search on the internet brought me to a website where they claim to offer the best anti wrinkle cream you can get.

So, hubby was a good boy and stayed home all day to start work on the basement. A friend of his had finished his last year and offered help if he needed it. Before I took my daughter out for her birthday shopping, hubby said “I should get at least half of them done today”, we have to install a total of 6 new windows. I was gone for most of the day, when we came home there was only one completed.
Well, his buddy hadn’t mentioned that he used an air compressor for the concrete chipper, as Carl is doing it all by hand. Mike, his buddy, saved the day by bringing over the compressor for us to borrow to get the windows done. Carl certainly got a workout on his arms, lol.

A coworker of mine recently got contact lenses right around Thanksgiving. At least once a week she’ll complain of dry, irritated eyes when she wears them. She’ll usually take them out and throw on her eyeglasses. Some days I don’t even know why she bothers wearing the contact lenses but, like she said, a lot of people choose to wear contacts so they don’t have to bother with the eyeglasses. Wearing glasses can be bothersome if you’re an active person, they can slip off, the lenses get scratched and they get dirty and blurry. What’s worse, what if you drop them and someone steps on them.
I told my coworker that she should try the Acuvue Oasys lenses with Hydraclear Plus to help eyes stay moist, no more dry eyes. They’re also the number one lens in America and are available at 1-800-GET-LENS. She’s looking into switching when she needs to order more. Through 1-800-GET-LENS you can buy contacts at a much lower price than any other source, they offer all the major brands and types of contact lenses and at up to 70% below retail. It will not only save you some money, it will save time as well.

It was twelve years ago today that I was at the hospital anticipating the arrival of my first child. I have no complaints, she’s a great kid. She’s a good student, she respects her parents and helps out around the house. I consider myself a lucky mom to have Erin for my daughter.
Happy Birthday Erin!
