Windows Live Writer |
I’ve been using Windows Live Writer for posts for my blog and I love it! Live Writer is a desktop application that makes it easier to compose blog posts to post them directly to your blog. Create a post and save it as a draft, add pictures to your post, insert Technorati tags as well as others. I can open my blog and edits posts that are already published. It’s a very user-friendly interface and you can add a variety of plug-ins.
Below are some examples of the plug-ins I’ve added are:
Insert Polaroid Picture
Here is a picture using the basic Insert Picture feature:

I like the look of the Polaroid better even though it isn’t a true polaroid look.
I also added an Insert Word Count plug-in. There wasn’t an option in the tools menu and the plug-in requires you to hi-light the text first but it’s still convenient for those posts you need to have a word count.
I just added the Flickr plug-in tonight and haven’t had a chance to use it as of yet, I’ll keep you updated on that. I wholeheartedly recommend Windows Live Writer to anyone who blogs, whether you have one or a whole bunch. The best part is it’s free!

Free Diet & Weight Loss Journal |
Since I’ve gained back nearly half of the weight I lost last Spring, I decided to try to drop it plus a few extra pounds. I pulled out all my Spring/Summer clothes and they do still fit, they’re just a little too snug. I lost 27 lbs by following the Weight Watchers plan and I’ve gained back 12. Damn Winter!!
I used Fitday.com’s online journal in the past and decided to continue with that and see how far I go before signing up with Weight Watchers again.
Go to Fitday.com to get your free online diet journal and start tracking your foods, exercises, weight loss, and goals. Track your foods, exercises, weight and goals. View your calories, nutrition, weight loss and more.

Eye floaters |
I suffer from an annoying condition called eye floaters. When I’m in a bright light or on a clear sunny day I see what looks like little black bugs or very fine hairs. Unfortunately there is nothing I can do about them, hopefully they will fade over time.
I found this information at MedicineNet.com
Eye floaters are extremely common in adults and are a leading symptom that causes people to see an ophthalmologist. Almost everyone has eye floaters by age 70, although some people are much more aware of them than others. It is unusual for children under 16 years of age to notice eye floaters.
The light going to the retina passes through the vitreous humor, which is a jellylike material which occupies the back 2/3 of the eye. At birth and during childhood years, the vitreous gel is totally clear. Later in life, sometimes strands, deposits, or liquid pockets develop within the vitreous jelly. Each of these strands casts a small shadow onto the surface of the retina, and these shadows are perceived by the patient as eye floaters. As the eye moves from side to side or up and down, these strands, deposits, or pockets also shift in position within the eye, making the shadows also move and appear to float or undulate.

I made the move |
I made the move at work and so far I HATE it! It’s entirely too small, I’m all alone and it’s a lot quieter than my previous location. I spent nearly 7 years at the other spot, lots of memories and lots of stuff! I found things I was saving since 2001, phone call notes, receipts, faxes that I had sent. I found a schedule for a previous file clerk from when she was in high school, she’s now graduated from college and moved on with her accounting career in the city.
There are a few upsides though. As I have mentioned before, I am no longer directly across from the bathroom and the room I shared before had to be the hottest room in the office. It just so happened that the day I moved, the A/C broke down and the room was hotter than "heck"! I was ever so thankful that I had made the move first thing in the morning and did not wait until the afternoon, I would’ve been miserable.
I guess it’s not the end of the world, it’ll take same getting used to. I HAVE to get used to it, it’s my job.

Spring soccer has sprung! |
Tonight was my son’s first night of soccer, last night was my daughter’s. We have a few weeks of soccer four nights a week. Spring soccer is a lot different than fall soccer. They don’t play games, it’s pretty much just practice and teaching the basics. They may split into two teams and have scrimmages from time to time. I can already tell that Adam is bored with it but he does need to work on his skills and it’ll be great exercise for him since he’s put on a few winter pounds.
Erin just loves soccer and would do it year round if she could. She gave goalie a try yesterday but it wasn’t for her, she said "It’s not as easy as it looks!"

Almost back to normal. |
I was thrilled yesterday morning when I pulled into the parking lot at work. I saw my office roommate’s car, she is back to work after 5 long weeks recovering from a broken collar bone. Our office is finally getting back to normal just when I have to move downstairs. The big move is tomorrow and I’m not too thrilled about it.
