Last weekend I had a great night out with my girlfriend.  We went to Hooters to meet up with some friends.  It was my first time ever stepping foot in that place.  For some reason I thought I was going to be uncomfortable but I wasn’t.  Probably because we were meeting people that were already there and my girlfriend and I weren’t dining alone.  We actually didn’t dine, as they were just about finished with their meals.  We opted to just have a few drinks.  We had a great time with old friends and can’t wait to do it again.

It was a simple little scrape on my hand last week, I wasn’t too concerned since I’m fairly clumsy and get bumps and bruises quite often. Well, it’s been one week today and it shows no signs of healing. It’s actually getting worse. I’d post a picture but you’d get a bit grossed out. Anyway, I was talked into going to the doctor today to have them check it out. I ended up getting a tetanus shot (that hurts!) and a prescription for an antibiotic. I was told to leave the bandage off and now everyone can see it. It wasn’t so bad under the bandage, now it looks like I have some flesh eating disease. I’m getting tired of telling people what happened when they say “Eww, what happened to your hand?” I think I will start telling everyone it’s a flesh eating disease and they had better stay away!

Opening day for fishing season is right around the corner. Are you ready? I know my husband can’t wait. I don’t hunt or fish but my husband’s family is avid hunters and fishermen. I get to hang out with one of my dearest friends to jam on Guitar Hero and watch Survivor, which is an awesome season so far. I arrive an hour before the show and stay for an hour after just to battle with her. Unfortunately I am still on the easy level so when it comes time to battle her hubby who is a pro, I’m nothing but serious. I can hardly wait to get my own so I can host jams at my house.

My friend Maggie had her kids do this a few weeks ago and I thought it was a very clever idea so I decided to ask my kids to compose a list of 13 things about me. I have to admit it’s rather boring. At least they didn’t put down one thing I overheard them talking about, my stinky feet! lol

I think I need to give some spelling tests at home.
