Thirteen Halloween costumes I may consider.
I’m back at work after having a 4 day weekend. As I sit here sneaking in a post, I’m thinking I could’ve used just one more day. Friday I sent the kiddos off to school and then I sat and watched tv for a couple hours, cleaned the house and got my hair cut. Saturday my daughter had the Soccer Jamboree. We sat in the sun all day, it was hot! They didn’t win any of their 3 games, of course. Sunday was girl’s night. My daughter had 4 friends over for a sleepover. We did nails, hair and make-up. We played games and they danced like fools. Monday was a sit around and do a lot of nothing day. I had my nieces all day, we played a few games and took a long drive. It was a picture perfect day.
I was not the powerball winner from Connecticut. I was one of losers.

Sometime back in May, I joined Weight Watchers. I was really gung-ho about it. I was meticulous about tracking my points and attending the early Saturday morning meetings. Then I went on vacation, missed a meeting and then missed another, so on and so forth. At my last weigh-in I had dropped 17.5 lbs and I have managed to drop a few more on my own, bringing my total to 22lbs lost. I had not been watching what I eat at all the last couple weeks with next to no exercise, I still weigh-in once a week on Saturday mornings and I watch that scale go up and down. My goal was to lose 55lbs. So, here I am today to declare a new start to my weight-loss journey. Wish me luck!
After a very productive weekend and taking a sick day on Friday, it’s back to work I go. Erin and I did an overhaul cleaning of her room on Friday night, got rid of a lot of junk in there. How can one little girl be so messy? Saturday was a day of soccer. Adam had a game at 11:15, which he lost 4-2. Erin also lost at her 2:00 game, 3-1. Adam plays other teams in the town league and Erin travels to a few towns. Her game was the next town over and we hadn’t played them yet. These girls were HUGE and they were pushers! Talk about booting the ball across the field, geeze! Our little girls didn’t stand a chance. It was a very stressful game, as I am usually one yelling from the sidelines. Yesterday I got really ambitious. I cleaned out my front yard flower beds and planted some White Azaleas and a few Mums. I did some housecleaning and cleaned out my linen closet. I had some meds in there that expired in 2003! It felt so good to get something in my life organized. |
