To All Coffee Lovers

ddiced

May 15th is Free Iced Coffee Day at Dunkin’ Donuts. Hearing this news just made my day! I LOVE iced coffee. I have limited my iced coffee purchases to one a week. Last summer I was stopping at Dunkin’ Donuts at least four times a week, I was spending nearly $10.00 a week on coffee. I finally had to say “enough is enough!”.

You’d better believe that I will be stopping for an iced coffee a few times next Thursday. The offer is one per customer per visit between the hours of 10am - 10pm.

I Need a Vacation!

image

I’m suffering from a lot of stress lately and am starting to show physical signs of it.  First it was heart palpitations, went to the doctor, had it checked out and was told it was stress and anxiety.  Then came the eye floaters, also a symptom of stress. Now I have fasciculations from, you guessed it, stress!  I think I need to find some cheap hotels so I can get away for a weekend.

Real Estate

image

This has not been the best time to try to sell a house, yet I see houses going up for sale all around me.  I bet people are having a hard time keeping up with their mortgage payments along with the rising cost of everything we need everyday to live that they’re trying to downsize or simply get rid of their house so they won’t lose it in foreclosure.  I work in the real estate field and see it first hand, our office is not as busy as it once was, commercial real estate has not really suffered and I don’t think it ever will.

More Than 10 Tips For Dogs

Each week I’m going to try to showcase some writings from my kids, today is the first post of hopefully many. Here is a piece my daughter did three years ago which I think is very cute. This is from when we rescued Madison from the pound. As you can tell from the tips mentioned, she wasn’t very well behaved at first.

More Than 10 Tips For Dogs

By: Erin

Hi all you dogs! I am going to give you some tips to be your best. I will tell you all the stuff you need to know.

1. When people leave their food on the table, don’t eat it or sneak up to get it.

2. If you are outside, don’t run away from your owner, they would get mad.

3. Don’t jump on people that you know or not.

4. Don’t do your business in the house, do it outside.

5. Don’t chew up kids’ toys.

6. When people are relaxing, please do not wake them up.

7. When people come with a bowl of dog food, don’t jump on them because the food will "splat" on the floor.

8. Don’t bark in somebody’s ear, that might hurt them.

9. Don’t you go on the road because you might get ran over by a car. You can just put your head out the window, it’s safer.

10. Do not just sit there and beg.

11. Don’t drool on someone’s leg.

12. When people come in your house, don’t welcome them with a jump.

If you are good you get treats but if you are bad, you get in bad situations.

Happy Burger-Day

image
A heads up to my readers. Here’s yet another freebie. Sign up at Red Robin’s eclub and you’ll receive a $3.00 off coupon just for registering plus coupons for your birthday for a free gourmet burger. It just so happens that it’s one of my daughter’s favorite places to go out to eat. I signed up yesterday and in my email was one coupon for Erin’s birthday which was last month and one for my husband’s birthday which is this Saturday. Unfortunately we can only use one per table so that just means we’ll have to go twice in the next two weeks. Or we can sit at separate tables, lol.

Infinity Shoes

I have always loved shoes ever since I was little. My mom would take me shopping for new clothes but my favorite part would always be getting the shoes. I would hope that my mom would let me put them on as soon as we got in the car just to try them on again, if she didn’t then I would just look at them, lace them up and make them look perfect. I wouldn’t dare get them dirty, at least the first few days. Not much has changed in how much I love shoes except that I buy them for myself and I don’t need to put them on as soon as I get in the car. I do, however, always look at shoes and try them on no matter what I’ve gone out shopping for. A few times a week you’ll catch me shopping for shoes online at places like Infinityshoes.com.

I think shoes are great for gifts as well. The love of shoes has rubbed off on my daughter, she loves it when I surprise her with a new pair of shoes. I’m sure she’d love these great Keds Eleanor Peacock shoes I found. Infinity Shoes also has seychelles shoes , minnetonka boots and tsubo shoes

Post-it Perks

A while back I made a post about free samples at MySavings.com.  The samples have been coming in, most are a lot smaller than I had imagined they would be.  A few were nice sized, Always and Dove came through with substantial samples but the one I got today from Post-it takes the cake.  I got a full-sized holder with 200 Post-it pop-up notes and I didn’t have to pay a thing.  It’s been awhile since I’ve been to MySavings, this has sparked my interest to see if there are any new offers.
